Donna and Merrell at the Welcome to Alaska sign on our way out of Skagway, Alaska on the South Klondike Highway. From there we were connecting with the Cassiar Highway and then the Yellowhead highway to Prince George, B.C..

This neat little island was on the South Klondike road that we took when we left Skagway. We stopped at the rest area there and took some pictures. It was one of the prettiest places we have seen since we started on our trip.

Another view of the neat little island....................
Donna and the neat little island............. Can you tell that I REALLY, REALLY liked the island???
Our drive on the Klondike was wonderful. It was a beautiful day and around every turn there was something beautiful to see. Mountains, water and trees. As you can see the trees are starting to change color and it made for a wonderful drive down the South Klondike.
Can you believe this picture was taken with my camera out of the window of the motorhome? I am just amazed!!!
I have seen more blue water in the past month than I have ever seen. The colors are so intense and I think being surrounded by the huge mountains make it even prettier.
Just look at the blue of this mountain lake.
This one may just be my favorite of all of them. This mountain range was also on the Klondike Highway. To me, it doesn't even look real and I TOOK THE PICTURE!!
I think we all would highly recommend the route from Skagway to the Cassiar Highway and the Yellowhead Highway to Prince George, B.C., Canada.
