Day 88
October 4, 2008
Pyramid Lake RV Resort, Gorman, CA and
Valencia, California
Carolee spent last night with Delores and they met us and Colleen, Jim and Beth for dinner at Denny's in Valencia. We had a wonderful visit, even though it was WAY too short. We are leaving tomorrow for the Grand Canyon. We decided to stay at an RV park in Williams, AZ. They had an internet special for the train ride into the Grand Canyon and two nights at the RV park. We decided Merrrell deserved to NOT have to drive so he could see the scenery without ME telling him to keep his eyes on the road. :>)
Enjoy the pictures.
Catch ya later,
Love, US
This is a vineyard we saw on the way to Valencia. It was GREEN!!!!!
This was also on the drive to Valencia. It was an old oil well or something. Check out the BROWN!!
Colleen's husband Jim and daughter Beth. It's hard to believe Beth is 17 now and a junior in high school. Makes Colleen and Jim OLD!! Teeheehee
This was also on the way to Valencia. Look at the huge brown hill in back of the sign. Merrell said there is a Grapevine road that is historic. It's supposedly steep and crooked and the new road we drove on took it's place as the main road. The one we were on was also steep and had lots of traffic.
I actually saw this green field and beautiful white fence on the drive into Valencia. It looked so out of place against all of the brown all around it, but it was still beautiful.
